Goyette Auto Part’s (GAP) Sales and Warranty Information
6 Month Standard Limited Parts Warranty
GAP guarantees your purchase against failure due to defect with an industry leading 6 Month Warranty.
-See below for additional terms.
Standard and Optional Warranty Coverage (OWC) Terms
-The warranty begins on date of purchase as stated on your original invoice and is not transferable. A replacement part warranty begins on the date of the original part purchase.
-GAP reserves the right to require the return or inspection of the original part prior to refund or replacement.
-At our option we will replace, repair, or refund the purchase price of the part in the event of failure. Approved warranty refunds
include your shipping cost.
-This warranty does not cover labor cost. (Please see our OWC)
-Repairs must be approved by GAP prior to any work being performed.
-Platinum Lifetime Warranty coverage terminates when a (one) replacement part and a (one) Limited Replacement Protection payment is issued by GAP.
Other: In the case of an assembly (engine, transmission, transfer case, front and rear axle, carrier, etc.): Accessory items including tie rod ends, backing plates, ball joints, u-joints, cables, mounts, seals and bushing are not covered by this agreement and should be replaced as needed by the installer.
Engines: are guaranteed not to knock, smoke, or burn excessive oil. The warranty covers the cylinder block, heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft and other internal components. No warranty is provided for external accessory parts including electrical/fuel/pollution system components, manifolds, belts/hoses, and water pump. These items are provided for the convenience of the installer only.
a) The Pre-Installation Maintenance Guide provided by GAP states routine maintenance items including timing belts, water pump,
thermostat, sparkplugs, fluids and seals must be replaced at time of installation.
b) Heat tabs are installed on engine blocks. Claims related to the overheating and/or improper lubrication of the engine are not covered
by this warranty.
Transmission: It is the responsibility of the installer to properly align torque converter, adjust position sensor cable, flush the transmission oil cooling lines, replace the radiator and/or transmission oiler cooler, and reset computer codes as needed.
a) The Pre-Installation Maintenance Guide provided by GAP states seals must be replaced and a new transmission filter kit must be
installed.
All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the warranty and do not cover incidental or consequential damages. GAP therefore shall not be responsible for payment of damages arising from injury, loss of time, rental vehicles, profits, and towing charges.
Optional Warranty Coverage ((OWC)

Silver and Silver Plus Warranty
Silver Warranty’s provide the original purchaser One Year Warranty on the part… NO labor coverage.
Gold and Gold Plus Warranty
Gold Warranty’s provide the original purchaser Two Year Warranty on the part… NO labor coverage.
Platinum and Platinum Plus Warranty
Platinum Warranty’s provide the original purchaser a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the Part. Limited Replacement Protection is included. When a major component listed below fails for reasons other than negligence, we will replace the part or refund the purchase price (at our discretion) and provide a fixed payment as shown below:
Engine: $300-$400 (ask for details) Transmission (F/AWD): $250 Transfer Case: $150
Carrier: $100 Transmission (RWD): $150 Axle Assembly $150
-This program is designed to help repair facilities offset the cost of replacing a part in the unlikely event of a failure.
-Warranty claims must be approved by GAP prior to completion.
-Documentation of work preformed is required prior to a Limited Replacement Protection payment being made.
-Optional Warranty Coverage must be purchased at time of sale. The purchase of OWC and the amount of Limited Replacement Protection must be stated on the invoice.

This Warranty and Limited Agreement is Void if:
-Failure is cause by improper installation, abuse, misuse, or modification.
-The vehicle is used in a fleet, taxi, or commercial vehicle.
-The installed heat tab is melted or removed.
-The Pre-Installation Maintenance Guide procedures are not performed at time of installation. (Documentation required)
-The original purchaser fails to follow the OEM recommended maintenance requirements pertaining to oil/coolant/filters.

Returns
-14 day “No Hassle” returns policy. Non-warranty returns must be undamaged, unaltered and in same condition as purchased. It is your responsibility to return non-warranty items to GAP within 14 days of purchase. Shipping costs are not refundable.
-Parts returned after 14 days may be credited or refunded less a 20% restocking fee at management’s discretion.
-No returns are accepted after 30 days.
-Returns must be accompanied by the original invoice.
-Body sections cut off to order are not returnable.
-No return on special order parts as stated on your invoice.
